One of the first items (gadgets) to add to a Dashboard is the “map gadget.” Pick the map gadget from the drop down list (the icon with the + symbol).
Next, choose which web map to use in the Dashboard. NOTE: Multiple map gadgets can be used in a single Dashboard.
Various options can be configured.
- Settings – (such as the “widgets” to show on the map, such as search, zoom in/out, legend, layers, etc).
- General – Title and title color changes
- Map actions – set this section up to affect other gadgets when the map changes (e.g. a counter changes when the map zooms in/out)
- Layer actions – layer actions such as filtering and zoom can be changed in this setting.
